Your Kigala Preschool program choices are:
Spanish or German language programs
No level of language fluency is required to be part of these two programs!
In these programs, the child will be exposed to the Spanish or German language and also have the opportunity to enrich their English language skills. The teacher speaks both English and the new language to introduce the child to either Spanish or German. The child needs no prior Spanish or German language knowledge in order to participate in these programs. The curriculum is presented in a playful way so that the children will develop an appreciation for the language. The focus of language will be on practical applications. Children enrolling in this program must be at least 2.9 and potty trained. We will work with families whose children are on the way to potty training. Besides our language component, children in this program will acquire all the developmental skills appropriate for his/her age. To download a program schedule, click here.
German immersion program
This program is for children ages 2 to 6 who have prior German language exposure. A level of fluency in German Language is required in order to be accepted in the full German Immersion program, as it is taught in German. The level of fluency will be determined by observation during the child’s second visit to the preschool, and after the interview with the parents. We will make all efforts to keep a proper balance of kids who speak partial or fluent German, with those who are at their beginning stage. The curriculum is presented in a playful way so that the children will develop an appreciation for the language. Children enrolling in this program must be potty trained. We will work with families whose children are on the way to potty training. Besides our language component, children in this program will acquire all the developmental skills appropriate for his/her age. English program
This program is for children ages 2 to 6, and is taught in English. The focus of this program is on expanding English language skills and enjoying our enrichment activities such as cooking, planting, movement etc. There will be some exposure to the German and Spanish language as children from those language groups will be part of this program after their free play and circle time. The curriculum is presented in a playful way so that the children will develop an appreciation for all the languages and cultures. Children enrolling in this program must be potty trained. We will work with families whose children are on the way to potty training. Program activities include:
Circle time, art projects, songs, cultural stories, play time (role play) and free form outside play are a few of the student's favorite programs. At Kigala Preschool, there will be a good balance between structured projects and free play.
Music Program: Introduction of a variety of instruments and Rhythms. Special music time with Music Rhapsody.
Dance/Movement Program: Variety of dance and movement forms.
Singing/Choir: Cultural Songs
Focus: Readiness Program for Kindergarten in a playful environment.
Play Ground: Free Play.
