KindergartenLA (KiGaLA) is looking for a director who is interested in transitioning the school from a small scale German language program with about 15 kids to a full day German/Spanish/Italian language immersion pre-school with 40 kids while maintaining its original philosophy and focus on community.

KiGaLA is seeking an individual who is self-motivated and a team player, who is efficient, organized and has exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, can collaborate with others in establishing programs that support the school’s philosophy.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

•    Staff support, supervision and training
•    Curriculum planning and evaluation
•    Class scheduling
•    Admissions process
•    Evaluation and observation of students’ performance and social and emotional well being
•    Oversee regular parent conferences
•    Establishes communication systems with parents and maintains open doors for parents
•    Establishes office management tasks such as book keeping, record keeping, newsletter publishing, general office management             and facility maintenance
•    Coordinates community and special events

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Preferably BA degree, major in ECE or CD
•    These are the requirements by LAW for a Pre-school Director:
    - 12 core semester units in CD
    - 3 semester units Administration or Staff Relations
    - 4 years teaching experience in CCC
•    Must be legal US resident; we do not sponsor!
•    Pass TB Test and Fingerprinting

 OR
 - AA degree in CD
 - 2 years teaching experience and Administrative units

 OR
 - BA degree in CD
 - 1 year teaching experience and Administrative units
 - Child Development Site Supervisor Permit/Program Director Permit

KindergartenLA (KiGaLA) is looking for bi-lingual pre-school teachers who are interested in participating in the school’s transition from a small scale German language program with about 15 kids to a full day German/Spanish/Italian language immersion pre-school with 40 kids while maintaining its original philosophy and focus on community.

•    are passionate about children’s early education and feel like every child deserves to be treated with respect and empathy, believe that social and emotional development are at the heart of a child’s overall early development,
•    have excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
